“Literacy Plus is a comprehensive program designed to empower individuals through a structured journey towards holistic development.
In Pakistan, there are 26.2 million out-of-school children and adolescents of age group 05 to 16, years of age are the focus of the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP). Momentum had developed this program to address important primary-level topics in a shorter amount of time, it seeks to close gaps and allow students to return to formal school or vocational training. ALP addresses both academic and social development needs by emphasizing literacy, numeracy, and life skills. It is provided through a community-based approach, guaranteeing access for underserved populations. The initiative promotes inclusivity, particularly for underprivileged communities and major emphasis is on the girl child. Momentum uses adaptable learning resources and qualified facilitators from the local community. It combines cutting-edge teaching strategies with technology. Program impact and quality are guaranteed via monitoring and evaluation. Momentum is trying to facilitate the state to achieve its universal education objective and to develop a model of excellence, which could be scaled up by the Government.
The pressing need to educate Pakistan’s over 26.2 million out-of-school children (OOSC) is addressed via the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP). Geographical inaccessibility, gender inequity, and poverty are some of the obstacles that many children must overcome. Through ALP’s streamlined curriculum, students can provide second option of learning for the Dropouts and never enrolled children as well as it accelerates their learning and return to regular schooling. It encourages the state to pursue Sustainable Development Goal 4, which calls for universal access to high-quality education. ALP lessens educational gaps by concentrating on underserved populations, such as girls and rural regions. By providing alternate educational possibilities, the initiative aids in the fight against child labor. Access to education is made possible via community-based centers and flexible timetables. Momentum after locating and enlisting out-of-school children in specific neighborhoods, it assists in the implementation of ALP.
