Momentum Development Foundation (MDF), as a committed civil society organization, delivers integrated, community-centered health services to address the critical healthcare gaps in underserved areas of Pakistan. In a country where maternal and child mortality rates remain high and preventable diseases continue to burden communities, our approach emphasizes prevention, accessibility, and gender-responsive care.
With accounting for one of the highest maternal mortality rates in South Asia and nearly 40% of children under five suffering from preventable illnesses, strengthening primary healthcare is not optional—it is urgent. MDF’s integrated model not only saves lives but also improves long-term community well-being and productivity. By prioritizing women and children, we directly contribute to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 5: Gender Equality, ensuring equitable access to health for all.
Momentum Development Foundation (MDF) is dedicated to enhancing healthcare accessibility in marginalized and underserved communities through a multifaceted approach. MDF conducts extensive routine and emergency immunization campaigns targeting vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, polio, hepatitis, and COVID-19, thereby mitigating public health risks. Complementing these efforts, MDF operates both stationary and mobile clinics that deliver comprehensive outpatient and emergency medical care, ensuring vital health services reach remote and resource-limited populations. Furthermore, MDF provides holistic maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) services, encompassing prenatal and postnatal care, skilled childbirth assistance, and neonatal healthcare, which collectively contribute to improved maternal and infant health outcomes.
Through these integrated interventions, MDF actively supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting universal access to quality healthcare and reducing preventable mortality. Additionally, by prioritizing maternal health and empowering women through targeted services, MDF advances Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality), fostering equitable health outcomes and strengthening the well-being of women and girls in the communities it serves.
